Why are Lip Trills a Singer's Best Friend?

If you read my post on Straw Phonation, you learned that it is an "S.O.V.T." (semi-occluded vocal tract) exercise. The benefits of SOVT exercises are invaluable, and the Lip Trill is another excellent example. The benefits of Lip Trilling includes:

-smoothing out of vocal breaks/cracks

-balanced note production

-consistent and regulated airflow

-safe & effective way to warmup/cooldown without strain or fatigue
